TerraViva presents an exciting new challenge: The Mountain Guardian Competition. It is an invitation for innovative minds to reimagine life at high altitudes, exploring historical and extreme mountain conditions while rethinking our relationship with nature through themes of responsibility, respect, and sustainability.
"The competition seeks to explore an architectural typology—the bivouac—that is fundamentally based on "temporary shelter" in close connection with nature. Today, the experience of living in the high mountains is considered to be closely linked to a more current and contemporary approach to habitation."
Mountain Guardian challenges participants to design a temporary shelter that fuses modern architectural principles with respect for the natural environment. Entries should reflect contemporary high-altitude architecture that is both innovative and sustainable, honoring the delicate balance between habitation and nature.
This competition offers a unique opportunity to express your architectural vision for sustainable and responsible design. Whether you're an experienced architect or an emerging designer, this challenge invites you to create a refuge that harmonizes with the mountain environment.
