Museum of Emotions Competition

Museum of Emotions Competition

As part of an annual series of architecture challenges, the Museum of Emotions competition invites participants to explore architecture’s role in evoking contrasting emotions. Designers are asked to conceptualize a museum that includes two distinct exhibition halls—one dedicated to evoking positive emotions, the other to negative ones.

The choice of emotions is entirely up to the participants, whether it be fear, anger, anxiety in one space or love, happiness, laughter in another. The aim is to use architectural elements—spatial scale, flow, color, lighting, and material—to create spaces that evoke distinct emotional responses.
