TerraViva Brise-Vent Havre Competition Winners

The Brise-Vent Havre competition aimed to revitalize the abandoned concrete sail structure, originally built to shield the port of Le Havre from wind gusts, by transforming it into a one-of-a-kind museum. The goal was to convert this forgotten landmark into an urban space that could restore its status as a vital public space.

The winning designs skillfully balanced historical preservation with contemporary needs. The jury highlighted the innovative use of sustainable materials, such as timber, and the integration of green landscapes, which contributed to creating flexible, multifunctional spaces.
