Get ready! The 22nd edition of the London Design Festival will take place from 14-22 September 2024. The Festival is an iconic celebration of creativity, innovation and design in London. It will feature a variety of installations, exhibitions, as well as a design fair and a Global Design Forum.

Each year, the Festival transforms London into an amazing playground for designers and curious explorers. This year's the festival themes are sustainability, AI, inclusivity, and the concept of play. Featured landmark projects include:

DUO by Melek Zeynep Bulut

“Imagine it like our body – fundamentally not a solid mass, but a sensor. It perceives and responds to stimuli by producing sounds, and has sensory receptors in our fingertips that allow us to feel textures, heat, and cold. Similarly, Duo conceptually treats ‘space’ as a mechanical body.”

Pavilions of Wonder by Nina Tolstrup of Studiomama

“The installation fuses the vibrant essence of the Barbie DreamHouse with Greater Palm Springs' iconic midcentury modernism, showcasing how the architecture of the Barbie DreamHouses has been inspired by this Californian oasis through three captivating, interactive pavilions.’’

“Introducing vegetation into urban environments is a common strategy to mitigate the effects of environmental destruction and climate change. But it’s difficult to scale: “It can’t be achieved just by planting trees, or by individual façade and rooftop greening projects, so additional solutions are urgently needed,” explains Nicola Stattmann, co-founder of OMC°C.”

The Festival will also feature a great range of commissions and design districts, each with its unique personality, reflecting vibrant local communities of London. There will be 11 different districts, allowing visitors to explore events within short walking distances from each other.

You can also look forward to a design fair happening from 18-21 September, alongside the Global Design Forum, hosting over 60 speakers from the global design and creative community.

This is an incredible international design event spreading across the city and bringing creativity to all of London for both locals and visitors!
